A subtle released hem or step hem are a great way to distress your denim without slashing all your jeans. Raw edges are super trendy right now and we love these styles that add a little edge without going overboard.
These soon to arrive NYDJ released hem jeans give you two trends in one! The popular released hem look great with tees, tanks, and romantic tops and the popular new grey wash are the perfect way to pop in some color!

Slim & Frayed-
The best way to stay on trend is to remember that the style is to wear your jeans above your ankles so when you wear your ankle boots, you should still see some skin like in the photos below. We know this might be tough to try at first when you feel like you're wearing "high-waters," but once you master the look and realize that you can wear any shoe in your closet with jeans now, you'll quickly fall in love. Another way to "raise" the denim style bar is to try fun alternatives like a cropped flare or step hem. Check out how these cropped styles that are either here or arriving soon!

*TIP- If you haven't found the perfect ankle length, roll your skinnies once or twice to get the right look! If your thinking you have roll a third time- don't do it! Keep the look slim with two cuffs or cut your jeans and try to get your own fray going.
